How long does it take to receive SSI benefits after your hearing?

My husband had his hearing in March last year(with a lawyer).It's almost been a year and his lawyer says that they just need to adjust his payment(this was in September).How long do we have to wait?What will happen next?

not sure what happens next but i know two people who get ssi for disability.........one it took five years and the other almost seven years.......so dont make any plans for awhile
