if it appears as a white reflection then you must advise the parents to have him checked over, as this was what saved a youngsters life a couple of years back. The child had a brain tumour and by the parents noticing on the photo the reflection they got the child treated in time. If it appears red then this as has been said by others is red eye from a flash.

If a flash had been used it will reflect through the eye and it is well known that brown-eyed people end up with red eyes so I would not worry if he normally looks fine and has no problem seeing.

Don't worry, the light is bouncing from an oblique angle off the retina of his left eye back to the camera lens. if it is too much of a distraction to you, scan it onto digital and use photo software to fade it out.

Not at all - it's just the camera angle that causes the flash to bounce off at a certain angle - in this case the left eye. Its normal and nothing to worry about xxxxxxxx

I t means he has heat vision and may one day melt your face ...Beware...............it is common it's caled red eye which is the reflection of the colour which lies behind our pupil optometrists see this all the time when you get checked up . it may be the angle of the photo ...try a different angle...and tell him to work the camera as you take the shots ....feel as one with the camera you will tell him, and you may get that Kodak moment .
