Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother's evictions and final will reintroduce the 5 minute time delay, after contestants from Big Brother 7 swore before the 9pm watershed. The move comes after broadcasting watchdog Ofcom upheld two complaints against Channel 4 over three separate incidents of bad language on the show.[4] Celebrity Big Brother 2007 would have followed up from Big Brother's 2006 Real-Time live shows if the contestants from Big Brother 7 abided by the rules.

Channel 4's Angela Jain has promised that there will be surprises in store for Celebrity Big Brother 2007. On 2006-12-06, Jain released the following information:[5]

* There will be lots of surprises and twists.
* The house has been redesigned for the winter.
* Some of the ex housemates from this summer’s series will be acting as “roving reporters and our eyes and ears on the ground”
* There will be more celebrities than ever before
* The series will feature more twists, more turns and producers are hoping it’ll be the biggest and best series yet.

The series will also use the house next door again.

Davina McCall, Russell Brand and Dermot O'Leary will be back to present the main Channel 4 show, Celebrity Big Brother's Big Mouth and Celebrity Big Brother's Little Brother. Diary Room Uncut, Big Brother's Big Brain[6], and live streaming will also be returning.
