How can you tell? I mean, what if they have a job and go to work every day? It's hard to tell - what should I look for? Do they have health problems? Do they get violent? Do they have any other "objectionable" behaviors? How do they maintain?

They get reclusive. They get defensive about the most simple questions. They don't make eye contact as much. They let things go too long, like paying bills and picking the kids up from school. They generally get selfish.

Unfortunately I have worked with servers who are on meth.
Everyone of them were different, some were needy and always looking for approval. Some were cleaning machines and others were mean, crying and picking fights with the other staff.
I knew they were high because their eyes were glazed, dilated and their skin looked pasty and broken out.

They don't maintain their responsibilities. Their teeth turn brown and they lose a lot of weight.
