Check oil
Check transmission fluid
check tire pressure
check antifreeze
Check windshiled washer fluid
keep car clean (trust me it does come in handy)
If you are not sure where some of the fluids are under the hood of the car do like most people and take it to a full service station to have your oil changed and tell them to check all your fluids and top them off.
Good luck

The cheapest and easiest is to change the oil every 3 months. Check your brakes every 30k, and the anti freeze every other year. Most of this info is in your cars manual with all the types of fluids and intervals of when to check and replace .
good luck

Best thing is to follow the maintenance shedule in your owners manual. If you don't have one, get one. There are several books you can buy on car maintenance, or join a messageboard for the type of vehicle you have. Try to do as much of it yourself as possible, and use only the best parts and lubricants available.

Just clean car. Take it to local garage to have oil changed and tires looked at,get them to grease it. Its better to bring to someone and pay because its their job,and they can dispose of any waste. You can build relationship with men and when it comes to bigger problems you should know where to go.
