they cant be stopped but I am not sure legalizing them is the solution, doing so is like if you cant beat them, join them.

I don't know. Are there any case studies in the Netherlands where both are legal. Or in England where they medicalized it once.
Prostitution threatens a lot of women. It could have a profound change on the mating process. A guy is now given a choice. He can play by some girls rules and do the dating thing and hope to get some sex or he can go downtown and buy some sex.
If a guy can get sex on demand and pick his partner and get it for a reasonable amount of money, would that have a profound affect on who gets married or shacks up. Would it leave a lot of females "dateless" most of the year.
Some people fear doing drugs because they fear jail. Take that threat away and would per capita drug use increase. I'd say it certainly would, how much is hard to say.
Is drug use bad? I recall someone I know from England who said the time of day and accuracy of mail delivery was based on if your address was BEFORE or AFTER the Pub.
He was quite sincere when he said that.
Now, how you gonna feel when the Stewardess brings a couple of bottle of Jack to the pilots up front flying the plane!
I mean, even two shots of Jack does not disqualify you from driving a car in most states. You're under .08 Especially if you have a meal.

Drugs and prostitution will never be stopped. Legalizing them won't improve society so there's no point in doing this. This is a difficult question to answer because they are two completely different things. Also, I think that some drugs should be legalized, such as Marinol (Marijuana in Pill form) as a means to promote appetite and reduce nausea and pain. However, I don't think cocaine or heroin should be legalized. Prostitution IS legal in parts of Nevada, so maybe you should see how that seems to be working out.

You can find the answer to the question about drugs in the Consumers Union Report on Licit and Illicit Drugs at http://druglibrary.org/schaffer/Library/studies/cu/cumenu.htm
It is the one book to read on the subject if you only read one.
The short answer is that the drug laws were a fraud from the very beginning. There was never any evidence that prohibition was a good approach to the problem. Read the book. You will find surprises on every page.

Legalize marijuana and prostitution. As the wise George Carlin once said, "F*cking is legal, selling is legal... why isn't selling f*cking legal?" As for weed, look how much The Netherlands rakes in each year off it. Instead of blowing money on prevention, legalize it and make a profit from it. Besides how many people die each year from weed? Probably a very small number. And how many die from alcohol? A huge number of people. Alcohol is 100 times more deadly than weed.

For the drug difficulty it somewhat is a sturdy, and undesirable difficulty. Prostitution i've got faith would desire to stay unlawful, yet nonetheless it somewhat is a unfastened us of a. they're ideal.. Sexually transmitted ailments could be a substantial concern, yet nonetheless it already is a substantial concern. yet extremely, how many memories have you ever heard of a individual getting the HIV/AIDS ailment in direction of prostitution. whether it became legal everywhere in the states it may be annoying to stress each and all of the escorts to be checked.

There is a program which they legalized in PA whereby drug addicts can go to clinics and get free needles.........
To me, it says, "yeah sure.. go ahead... stick your arms till you're content"........
I think only certain drugs should be legalized... Not all.....
As for prostitution..... I think if they can give addicts free needles, they should give prostitutes free check ups and condoms..... and it should be legal..... because these people do it so they can make money to live...... they don't know any other way..... and throwing them in jail does nothing to change their minds.....
But, help them!!!.... that's all I can say......
Your sister,
Ginger

The oldest profession will always be with us, and so will drugs. Recently marijuana was estimated to be the largest grossing crop in the U.S. And it all goes untaxed. Ridiculous.

Yes. Legal-eyes them!
"A censor is a man who knows more than he thinks you ought to." Granville Hicks (1901 -1982) [Likewise, I suppose the same is true for drugs and sex.]
Also legal-eyes the abilty to boycott Israeli products, if one so freely desires! http://www.unknownnews.net/0626-2.html
(What the past-tense of "free"?)

Interesting concept.
By making theses things legal, it would defiantly take the mystery out of them.
