She should be dressing the way they do in iraq? They are living here in the us -Chicago- Do you think she even knows what she is doing? They have 2 kids together (Both boys) . They have those names like this :Yusen Evan and Yosef Logan. Do you think that she is in danger of anything? I am just wondering because her man said that before anyone took those kids away from him (he meant her) that bad things would come of her family.
Do you think though since he is from iraq and living in the US would he be different than the ones living in iraq when it comes to their wives and kids?

Take a look at the various ChildFind posters advertising kids that have been abducted. I'm sure there are some Iraqi men married to American women who can be trusted not to take the kids back to Iraq, but I personally wouldn't advise anyone I know to get involved in those relationships. They don't mince words about Americans in their country, and they do have a patriarchal society that sees the children of marriage as the property of the man.

But you aren't your cousin. One can only hope that things are okay for her and her family.

Happy New Year. God bless!

He married her with the knowledge that she was american and that she wasn't from his country and didn't have his customs. Afraid? No, She still has the protection of the police. If she choses to dress like they do in Iraq. Then that is her choice. She didn't give up her freedom because she married. However, she shouldn't be dressing super provocative to attract attention from other men either. She should respect her marriage.

I WOULD BE SCARED. THOSE PEOPLE ARE VERY DIFFERENT FROM US- NOT ONLY THEIR RELIGION, BUT THE WAY THEY SEE LIFE, WOMEN, KIDS ETC. THE WAY THEY ARE RAISED IS TOTALLY CONTRARY TO THEY WAY WE ARE. THEY RAISE THEIR GIRLS TELLING THEM THEY ARE LESS THAN MEN. THE MEN ARE TAUGHT ALL THE CRAZY STUFF ABOUT WOMEN AND CHILDREN. I WON'T BE SURPRISED IF HE STARTS MAKING HER DRESS AS THE IRAQI WOMEN. ESPECIALLY IF HIS FAMILY IS RELIGIOUS. SOONER OR LATER THEY WILL PUT THEIR PRESSURE ON HIM ABOUT THE WAY HIS US MODERN FAMILY IS. DON'T GET ME WRONG- I DON'T KNOW THE GUY, I ALSO DON'T SAY THEY ARE BAD PEOPLE ALL OF THEM, BUT THAT'S JUST THE WAY THEY ARE TOWARDS WOMEN. TELL YOUR HUSBAND'S COUSIN TO BE CAREFUL FOR ANY SIGNS OF SUPPRESSION FROM HER IRAQI HUSBAND.
