1.) Bill Gates for organizing a billion-dollar charity.
2.) Warren Buffet for donating around 30 billion dollars to the Gates charity.
3.) and the winner of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize, Muhammad Yunus. He said, " World poverty could be consigned to museums if banks and governments stimulate the creative energies of millions of poor people." Here's the link to the story of this man:

EDIT:

The Iraq war, according to Bush, falls under the category of the war on terror...that's why Bush plugged the whole WMD into the situation. Protecting Iraqis was at the bottom of his list...Darfur would be at the top of his list, according to your logic.

My votes would go to the PM of Japan, the American President, and Britain's PM.

These men were the driving forces behind stability in 2006, and stability is always the foundation for peace.

Most other world leaders simply acted in their own self interest while George Bush and Tony Blair stood stubbornly by their concept of killing terrorists at great personal risk in the poles. You have to respect that.

(I've added the PM of Japan simply because Japan is involved in an impressive number of organizations world wide actively pursuing world peace in one way or another. It's an interesting study.)
