He is right there for the 3rd Test against SA. He is good but still he is number 2 choice.

Dinesh Karthik is alredy in the present IOndian Test Team. Most probably he will be playing in the 3rd test, if Dhoni is not fit.
P.S. : Dinesh Karthik is playing the 3rd Test in place of M.S.
Dhoni. He has opened the batting for India with Wasim
Jaffar and the score at present is India 102 runs for
No Loss. Jaffer is batting on 66 runs and Karthik 32 runs.

Best wicket keeper ........, I think I would go for Dinesh right now , but it semms that Dhoni has improved a lot in the recent series in WI. But Dhoni has to be the picked for his sheer reputation in batting. As long as he is there at the wicket ( which unfortunately oflate has become too short), the opposition cannot breathe easier.

THERE IS SOME CHANCE FOR D.KARTHIK TO COME BACK ON THE TEAM. BECAUSE M.S.DHONI IS IN GOOD FORM BOTH IN BATTING AND KEEPING. IF DHONI IS OUT OF FORM KARTHIK CAN COME BACK. THERE IS A CHANCE FOR KARTHIK TO COME BACK TO INDIAN SQUAD,because dhoni is unfit for the third test. If karthik is in the playing 11 he should play a good innings for india and also keep the wickets very well.

Any player cannot change the indian cricket fortune. They'll remain tha same asusual. Be it dinesh kartick or m.s. dhoni, nothing matters at all.
Indian cricket team will always loose matches asusual!!
