Broly was a character in the DBZ movies, Broly, Broly's Revenge, and Bio Broly. I believe Cell was earlier in the Saga. Vegeta could already go Super Saiyan during Broly when he had yet to achieve this during Cell Saga.
The reason you didn't see it on TV is because he was not in the original DBZ series, only the movies.

broly happened while they were training for cell, thats why gohan was able to go super saiyan which he didn't learn until the cell saga started. so the first broly movie could have been in the 10 days thay had to train or do whatever.

I think Broly was after Cell, cus in one of the movies, Trunks (not the one from the future, but the little one who was starting to grow up), Goten, and Videl were in it--and they all come after Cell.
Broly is not in the episodes, but in movies... so that's probably why it wasn't on tv

I think what the asker meant is on why the movies that brolly was in wasnt on TV. To answer. The movie when brolly appeared for the first time was actually on Cartoon Network at one point sometime after the Cell Saga. But i havent seen them show the other ones. Maybe it was because they were too violent for kiddies? I dunno for sure. Probally those big heads over at Turner know.
