While there are times when alcohol can bring on an outpouring of emotions, most of the time the drinker is surprised by what they said, what they did and how they acted and are usually embarresed about it the next day. I think you react to whatever is going on in your life at the moment that is in the forefront of your mind. If we were all held accountable for the things we said when we were drinking, many of us would end up in jail and certainly friendless. I don't think you automatically start spouting off the truth when you're drunk...I think you say whatever comes to mind at the moment.

Yes - I'd agree. You tend to care less about what others would think. Other than intoxicating stuffs - I guess being too happy or excited or too sad also makes you lose control of your tongue. Your basic frame of mind goes for a toss. Well excess in anything is indeed bad. Some unconscious feelings or thoughts are let out in this kind of state.

Most of the time, I think it's kind of fun to be sober around a lot of drunk people unless they're on a crying drunk I hate that. But then I always wonder, damnn, am I that stupid when I get drunk?
