Because they can accomplish feats I've only dreamed of. I mean, I'd love to fly and be indestructible. It's called having control over my destiny. Now, that's a sexy thought!
Real superheroes though can be found in our everyday life. The fire fighters at the station close to my house. Military men and women. And I think they are sexy because I can't imagine being so brave as to risk my life every day for others. They seem mysterious to me, and I put them up on a pedestal.

The fact that they're superheroes.....being special, having abilities, gifts and talents that only they possess makes them very appealing

Lots of people are super, but not many are hero's, and that's very sexy to some.

Nothing other than their physiques, as far as I know. Unless you feel the archetypal hero/heroine is an attractive concept, which I personally don't.
