get your G.E.D, ASAP. then get a job and go to community college. then a university.
I quit at 17, arrested at 18, GED at 20. now in second year of college at 26.
I was once told by an old man, you can do everything you want with your life, but no one will make you do anything. people will talk about others because it makes them feel better about theirselves. in high school it might have been a big deal...but it is not anymore. your gay, so what!! that does not say anything about the person you are, your actions do. either you get up or you let some 2 faced people get the best of you for the rest of your life. face it, its over, those "friends" are not in your life anymore and you have wasted too much time worring about it. get a job, go to school, and go where your career path leads. next time you see those people, get out of you ferrari in a custom made suit and smile at them.
GET OFF YOUR *** AND DO SOMETHING!! i dont care if you do or not, do it for yourself, no one else. the only way to regain confidence is by trying. you will be turned down and rejected, learn from it, dont let it get you down. I was pushed down my entire life, I now have more money then my great grandkids could ever spend because I never quit. i have 14 cars,60' yacht, a large collection of motorcycles, and 7 houses around the country. most importantly i have people around me that care about me and continue to motivate me. my life is wonderful and it is because I was driven.
get your GED, great start and see what happens from there. get a job, any job, and save some money. go back to school and work a shift that will allow to continue school. you can sleep when you die. remind yourself where you were, were you are, and where you are going. set goals too far fetched and work your *** off to get them.
and always, always, always remember to be thankful for everything you have. god helps those that help themselves and it is alot better to have him on your side.
now, when you wake up in the morning read about GED testing in your area and take some practice test to refresh your memory. you want to pass it with flying colors to help with your confidence.
good luck to you

You have enough negatives going for you already. Part of the battle is partially over, you admit that you are a mess.
You did not say how old you are now. It really does not make any difference as you should
#1 find a place that offer the GED test or find a junior college that offer high school completion. Call your local junior college for assistance in this.
#2 You are who you are and if your so called friend could not handle that you need to get another or more friends.
#3 Do your parents know that you are gay? If not why haven't you told them. Tell them as soon as possible.
#4 There are a couple of things you need to know about people. Some are intelligent and others are not. You need to find and stick to the intelligent ones.
No matter what people say about you, you can not hide at your parents house. Just remember that these same people are n ot paying your bills, buying you clothes or allowing you to stay in their house of driving their car. Don't be concerned with what others think of you.
While you are trying to complete your education get out of the house and find a job even if it is at McDonalds or one of the other fast food types. Also Wal-Mart is hiring on a daily basis. You can even enter their management program once you have completed your GED.
Those are a few of the things I suggest you do.
The thing about it is that is all they are and that is suggestions. It is up to you to do the rest or you can continue to do the same thing on a daily basis, but your situation will neevr change.
So now is the time to make a decision
Do I do the same thing I did yesterday or do I get off my duff, find a job and get your GED?
I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

You are still pretty young so it isn't too late. Screw all of those people, none of those other people matter. Start studying to take the GED test asap and sign up to take the test (this way you are at least not a complete drop out). Next, you should apply to a 2 year school as a massage therapist, or a hairdresser, or a paralegal, or a x-ray technician, or a makeup artist or something like that (pick your 2 year school) OR if you are a patient person try college out (I would suggest college). Once you decide, you will need a part time weekend crappy job to keep your parents off your case while you are studying your craft...Apply to McDonalds or some other piece of crap store or work as a busboy or a waiter or a clerk...this will get you through school. Once you get out of school you will have the skills to get the job and move on with your life.
remember, all your friends are going to move on with their lives and your parents are going to start looking at you to get the hell out...sitting around and smoking pot with your friends isn't going to cut it anymore. You need a long term plan...Your parents should be helping you with this, it's obvious you can't rely on them and so you need to get into a completely different mode of thinking.

First thing is get ur GED (General Equivalency Diploma) usually courses can be taken at most high schools where the test is given, then enroll in a trade school or community college, choosing a field u r interested in. Apply for school loans if necessary. Finish ur enrollment, now u`ll be equipped to apply for work that u r trained for. You must start somewhere in life, do it now, or prospective employers will want to know what u have been doing work-wise to this date. Good luck.

You may also look out for an option to work online. Although it wont pay you like full time job but you can make some extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit
http://ommc.blogspot.com
I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)

do you know where the library is. go get some books '48 days to work you love' 'what colour is your parachute' read them take notes then act on info. the self esteem/confidence visit ThinkRightNow.com to learn how to correct the negative feed back in your mind. as for money visit daveramsey.com to learn what your parents ,banks or schools will not teach you about money. as for your history, use it as a stepping stone, an anchor or a building block.
it is the past you do not have to repeat it unless you chose. go see 'the pursuit of happyness'. your life you chose.

You have to get your self-esteem up! Join support groups. They have them on Yahoo Groups as well as other venues. And you have to get your G.E.D. Other users are right. Even a bachelor's degree is nothing today. You need an advanced degree to get the higher paying jobs.
Other non-traditional ways to get ahead are to find someone who does what you want to do and ask them to mentor you.
But none of this will work until you take care of yourself first.
Good luck.

Yes, get your GED. It will make you feel so much better about yourself. From there you can go to a technical school or college and become something great. Don't worry what anyone thinks of you. You got to make yourself happy.
