If you have lots you could string them together and make a bead curtain out of them. Get a round piece of mirror glass and then frame it with the old Cd's. Always good as coasters. Cover a coffee table with them layering them and then cover the whole thing with that clear resin stuff (I can't remember what it's called but it's like a really thick shellac and will help keep the surface flatter.) Have fun.

place a couple in your car on the windscreen if a car coming the other way has his high beam on the the Cd's reflect the light straight back at them.
alternatively tie them to bits of string and hang them in the garden they make great bird scaring devices.
stick 3 or 4 of them together, then load them into a clay pigeon launcher, they look good when blasted.
If you still have the cases and they are in good condition, wrap them up and give them to unliked friends and relies.
hope these ideas are helpful to you

You can hang them from your trees out side. But for the bedroom why dont you try getting a glass cutter and cut them into different shapes and pictures put them together or alone. Under a black light it is really cool!

You can also make a baby-mobile. Just make sure that the edges are not broken. You can put little fuzzballs from the craft store on the edges or a feather boa & you have a unique mobile. Maybe the baby will grow up to be a DJ, lol!

well you can make them into fishes by putting two together, gluing them. so the two tops where it has writing is on the inside andthe shiny side is out. then you add eyes with googly eyes and lips, and feathers to make the fins.... then just add anything u want. they look so cool. u will get lots of compliments!

You can make money with them if you were smart enough to know that you can sell music CDs in a place we smart people like to call a record shop. Or give them to me. If you're still gonna be a tightwad you can use them as coasters...furniture sliders (place one under each leg of a particular type of furniture)...or burn them in a fireplace on a burn ban day to tick off the nieghbors.

Here's an idea using a cross stitched item, but you could also use the same concept with photos or scrapbooking items.

Stick them on your wall with the
reflective side out in a cool pattern.
The colorful light that bounces off
them is awesome!

First there's a difference between commercial CD's (those that you buy with stuff already on them like games, music, AOL, etc.) and blank writable ones.
You can do certain cool "crafts" only with one type or the other (but some things --especially those that don't involve heat-- can be done with either type).
Here are some pages that have all kinds of craft ideas for CD,'s, from cutting them up and making jewelry, to "covering" them with various materials to make clocks or using them outdoors, etc.:
http://glassattic.com/polymer/covering.htm
(...click on "CD's," under "Plastics"...)
http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/onlay.htm
(... click on "CD Shards" ...cutting them, then making things, from mosaics to jewelry)
And here's another thing from my site on "slumping" CS's to make various items:
(pre-recorded CD's only?) work just about the same as vinyl records (to "slump" for making "record bowls"), but on a smaller scale
.......yep CDs work too (for slumping)… just logged off to try, and it does work. … you need to turn your oven up to about 250-300 or so
....I was just in the dollar store tonight and saw a small bowl (glass/cermic/metal) that I thought would be great for forming a cd over in the oven.. we made "change trays" for fathers day with them!
....one thing I did while messing around with CDs was to fold them over while warm, almost in half.....kinda gave me the idea that they could serve as angel wings if attached to a small terra cotta pot angel? Cddesigns
(more on slumping plastics in general on the rest of the page:
