I have several PS2 games from the UK and want to send them to relatives in USA and want to know if they will work on USA manufactured PS2 machines. Or are these games subject to the same regionalization that affects DVDs?

I would say no. I think the standard Lines Per Minute and all that crap applies to video games also.
