There are so many variables that would need to be answered. Are you going to epoxy coat the frame? Are you going to keep all the factory equipment? Are you wanting new parts or restore all the old parts? Will this car be a show car exactly factory numbers matching or just a hot rod? What condition is the car now? How much rust? How much body work?

I would guess you could spend anywhere from $15,000 to the skys the limit...maybe $150,000. I would say as an average $18,000-$24,000 is a good place for a full restore give or take.

Thousands of dollars. It's pretty hard to quantify, but if you are asking seriously, this is one of those times when they say "if you have to ask you can't afford it" and it's true. Each item you have mentioned is at least a thousand dollars. Glass for even a late-model car is something like 200 or more dollars a piece, and it's not even rare. A good paint job alone is worth at least two grand, which doesn't include fixing rust holes. Getting a dead 70 year old motor to run isn't cheap. Upholstery is the same deal. Labor on a frame-off restoration is extremely expensive, and not just anyone knows what they are doing, so you need to find someone qualified. They don't just give away their time.

The other answers are basically correct...depends on who and what it takes, but I can give an example, whereas a friend of mine just had a 1947 Mercury Coupe done Ground Up and it costs him about $130,000.00.
