Please help me with my computer?

I can't play any movie files on any of the programs on my computer, it used to work fine. this is the error windows media player comes uo with:
C00D11CD: Unknown error
Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error. This can occur when another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to Windows Media Player.

Error ID = 0xC00D11CD, Condition ID = 0x00000000

You need to repair your version of Windows. This type of error occurs when a fault is raised in the computer system regestry files- its simple to fix so don't worry.

Put the windows disc in your cd drive and it will auto-run- select "repair" and it will scan through your system patchin g up all the damaged regestered entries and fix your computer.

Hope this helps you. If you are still having trouble you may want to reinstall windows from scratch.
