I would talk to your roommate first, to see if it was something he possibly knew about. I would then warn the person in question that if you saw her in your apartment again while said roommate is away, that you will be forced to call the police and report her for breaking and entering. On a personal note, if your roommate doesn't care when you let him know what is going on I would look for a new place to live asap.

change your locks and file a police report. Also tell your apartment office, they usually have security and the security people can keep an eye on your apt. When your roommate gets back in town let him/her know that this person has broken in and it's not to happen again, or you will press charges. File the report just to establish a pattern, in case you have to take it so far as to press charges. But see if your roommate can take care of the issue before you try to press charges.

Shoot her! And make sure she is inside when you do it,or at least move the body inside so the cops will be more than certain to call it self defense when they finally saunter on over! At the least invest in some good locks or (its illegal but it works!) Run a charged wire by your windows. When this dip opens the window she will open the circuit and get a nasty shock depending upon how much you have going through the wire. In general for B &E it is best to kill rather than disable the intruder. Frequently people are sued by the intruders who have been hurt. Hey you're taking away their livelihood!!! How can they steal when they can't walk!!
Remember it is your home! Don't let the bastards tell you what to do in it or how to live your life!!

First off I'd suggest locking and barring all the windows... just stick a small pole or plank of wood at the bottom of the window so it cannot be pushed open and if she brakes in you could a) call the police b) call your roommate and politely ask she/he contact the friend and make sure they do not come in or c) speak with the friend and ask they come into the house when you are there or not come in at all. etc... Depends on what your goal is and who you are trying to avoind making upset.

Call the police,If she broke something in the apt that belongs to the apt building. Then file a report to the police dept. So you will not have to pay for it out of your deposit in the end.

You could talk to her and warn her never to do that again. Or you could call the police and have her arrested for trespass. However, if she had had prior priveleges it may be harder to prove.
