Rock is way better than (c)rap. Rap is just computer generated noise. That's why you can have any and every moron off the street be a rapper. Rock is real, true emotions, and talent. They write their own songs, play their own instruments, make whatever kind of music they want. Rappers only make music that they think people want to hear, and they end up sounding exactly the same. Rock musicians don't use each others guitar riffs, lyrics or other sound. If rappers had to make up their own sound and not copy each others music and rhymes. Rap wouldn't exist. Rap takes no talent whatsoever, they just put on clothes 3 times their size, put some jewelry on, drive so called pimped out rides, make up their own words (because they're to stupid to read, or understand english), and every monkey out there wants to buy their album.

Rap better than Rock N Roll? Rap isn't even as good as Disco music and back in the day, I thought Disco was dreadful. Let's break it down. Rap is talking to music. Rock is singing to music. Rap has in most cases the same tired beat over and over. Rock music has a large diversity of sounds. Better than Elvis or the Beatles? Blasphemy! Elvis and the Beatles inspired and influenced a whole generation of artists. What have rap artists done other than to mimic each other? No, my friend, Rap will never equal Rock N Roll.

Personally I believe its a matter of personal preference. This will sound "Cliche'" however I don't think anyone genre is BETTER than the other, It all depends on the listener. There obviously have been many rock acts that have hooked up with Hip-hop artists and collaborated to make a really tight sound. Most often than not chart topping tracks.
As far as what makes "Rappers" So Talented, I believe a certain writing style that will relate to the audience, and of course the way the message is delivered. Same though goes for all music genre's.

Rock will ALWAYS be better then rap. Rap is just a bunch of talentless people talking about sex and womans' a$$'s and being in the "ghetto" or whatever . I think rap is annoying and doesnt deserve the fame it has gotten over the years. Rock takes talent. You need to know how to play an instrument. Not work studio machines.Rap is crap and that is that...

I agree to those who think Rock is better than rap. Rap is so gay!!! Rock, heck what are you stupid rap lovers out there thinking when all you listen to is rap? Rock is a heck a lot better because they're talking about life more and not the, "YEAH, IM GONNA DO YOU ALL NIGHT LONG" or whatever. To me Rap is gay. I think Rap should almost be banned from the music world. Country and Rock are much more better because they talk of life and you can actually sit and rock out or sing to the country and rock songs.

Never.Rock will always be better then rap. Rock requires talent. People in rock bands learned how to play guitar, bass, drums, etc, for years befroe they were in the band.Rock requires real talent. All rap is , is just a bunch of rhyming words. Rap is so annoying, i can't stand it. Rock has been around much longer then rap has been. So basically-Rock good, rap bad. I even think that rap shouldn't be called music.

I like some rap music a lot better than rock and roll. And the other way around. I like old school rap like The Geto Boys and NWA and Scarface. i like them because their lyrics make me laugh and also they really make you see what a struggle they went through to come up on top. Scarface is one of my personal favorite rappers. He tells you about his struggles and doesn't want you to feel bad, he just wants to tell you. I think that makes him very talented because he was raised in Houston Texas in Fifth Ward, that is a hard place to come up. And he didn't give up on life and wind up a junkie, he succeeded.
i don't really care for that much rock 'n' roll like the Beatles or Elvis at all. that music is very slow and mellow. i like music that's makes you feel for the person singing it. although....i would rather listen to Rock n' Roll like CCR than someone Project Pat...hehe what a name. that is garbage..but if i had to choose I'd say rap CAN be a lot better than R'n'R....thank you

No.

My OPINION is ♥Rock♥

My only reason is because:

Sure, most rap songs are about butts and sex, but some aren't. Some rock songs are pretty harsh too, but in a way, Rap is mostly talking. True, hardcore rapping is just talking to words. But then again, Rock can be just screaming, so it ges either way.

But, as I said, as a personal preference, Rock.

No i dont, quite honestly i cant stand rap....and alot of it has to do with not being able to understand a thing that comes from their mouths.......also the reputation they carry tends to be quite tainted.....rappers just arent portrayed as decent citizens....and although that is the media's doing....i might acctually be more willing to actually sit and listen to what they have to say, if it wasnt all about killing or violence toward another human being, treating women like whores or drugs, and getting ahead just so that you can be the top "man", in the business......
