You don't need to pretend you are not mad, but you shouldn't be violent. You should express your anger, but do so calmly. When people yell, no one listens. Think about when a mother is yelling at her child, the child learns to tune out. If you're reasonable, people are more willing to listen.
You don't need to be nice and pleasant all the time...what are you a stepford wife? However, you should try not to say things you will regret later or things that you cannot take back. This is the hardest part...remembering in the middle of a disagreement that you love/like/respect/ admire the person in question.
So I guess I can't pretend i'm not mad, but I remain calm and reasonable and try not to say things I can't take back.

I can't really, no. I asked a question here earlier purely to advise people not to click on a link in a question so they wouldn't get a virus. THREE MORONIC IDIOTS thumbed me down for being helpful.
I can't pretend I'm not mad when I am, no.

Yes, at the time it can be,but it's tucked away in my mind and will come out in a different way eventually. Usually telling the person off later in a way that only they get it.

I have a hard time acting angry even when I am. I'm a people pleaser and give them what I think they want. My kids think I'm joking when I try to act mad.

To people that are strangers to me they might not be able to tell. But anyone who is een somewhat close to me would DEFINITELY be able to tell within seconds that somethings wrong. Lol, I am a very easy person to read, and am not good at hiding my feelings.
But that's just me.

No....I'm not very good at that Constance and I find it's not very
healthy to do so....such things cause people to have strokes and heart attacks bottling up emotions like that.
