I think the statistics show that arranged marriages are actually more successful than ones that are not. The difference is that people in arranged marriages tend to see marriage as a lifelong commitment.
They get to know each other, & learn to love the other person over a period of time. The main thing is that they are committed to each other & making the marriage work.

i don't know if always would be a proper response....but most often would be more appropriate.. marriages based on love and compatibility rather than an arrangement between two families who stand to gain some sort of fiscal wealth do tend to do better. but if you can build a relationship with trust and respect with your arranged spouse...then it is possible for love to grow.

I'm from India too, and I can tell you, it's about 50-50. Really. If you think "love marriages" are always successful - think again. And if you think "arranged marriages" are unsuccessful, remember that love waxes with time.
