Look, I just finished watching the movie "The NoteBook" and that has a powerful love story and I was thinking to my self is that possible with gay people, meaning me in this situation.
Can I find gay love strong like it is on the notebook, even though I'm gay?
and you might think its just a movie, but its happened before, i think its based on a true story.

Of course! If you find a guy that makes you feel warm, loved, and cared for, then that is who i consider true love. Get a man that will hold you tight at night and will be there for you when you need him the most, that's what i did and i love it.

How strange...I have to tell you this story.
My wife's EX girlfriend broke up with her because of this movie. She said that she wanted what the couple at the end had, and that she didn't think that she would be able to have that with her because she was a woman.
This story is not about a man and woman. It is about powerful, enduring love. Love that can be tried and tried, but will succeed. That is quite often, gay and lesbian love.
I will tell you right now that her ex girlfriend was...I wanna say wrong and stupid, but not that. She was misinformed if she thought that two women (or two men) couldn't love each other that much.
I love my wife more than anything in the world, and it is crazy for me to think about NOT being commited and faithful to her and spending the rest of my life with her. I can think of nothing more satisfying than spending my life with her and dying in her arms.
Of course gay people can find love. Yes, it might be harder...but it will happen. You will not die alone. There is a soul that is meant for you. Obviously, my wife and her ex were not meant to be ;)

Oh I love that movie! That is the best love story I ever watched. God, yes it can happen to us! As a matter of fact, it has already happened to me recently, just only a month ago! I am soooo in love with such a feeling of complete trust, surrender and wholesome with my love. There is this feeling that we were matched in heaven because we are so perfect for each other. My heart knew right away she is the one. It has brought out the best in me, it feels like a river of love is just flowing through me endlessly. It was never like that in my previous relationships.
Yes honestly it does happen. Love itself is not confined to any shape and form. It is pure. We were spirits before we resided in this body and will continue to do so after death. It has nothing to do with gender. I've always believed in it and would find it, and it happened.

I have known a lot of gay guys and it is possible but extremely difficult. I know an elderly gay couple that has been together and loyal for about 35 years. They are never apart. It is more difficult than for straight people, but it depends on the individual gay guys if they are the serious type or not.

Seriously? I thought part of what made people gay was that they fell in love with people of the same sex?
So, I guess my opinion is: yes, it is completely possible to fall in love when you're gay.
Also, movies overdramatise things. I think even straight people were like: How can I fall in love like that? After watching the Notebook.

Hi Alfy, Yes, i knew a gay couple, and they were madly in love. They got many,and was thinking of having a baby. They were going to pick one of their male friends to be the dad. After all that,i haven't see this couple for about 9 years. Yes ,you can find love. Happy New Year.

I think you can. I dont' travel in the circle of the 'gay community', but apparently there are bars and places where gay people go alot. It is not a matter of being gay.. it is a matter of finding someone that connects to your soul. I don't know how many people are gay. I don't know if there is less boyfriends to choose from, but it only takes one. And of course you can have that deep of a connection. that is an individual thing, not a straight thing.

before anyone reads or criticizes this answer, my apologies if my response offends anyone. Since there is no chance of sexual reproduction among two males, the love they can share is one of the most powerful and amazing. A man and woman share biological reasons for loving (reproduction) but two men who are in love share an intense bond that is hard to explain. It is solely based on their spiritual connection. I'm not saying all male couples have found this, but when you do find it....wow. You can find love....keep looking...it's powerful stuff.

My, what a stupid question! Of course you can find love! Anyone and everyone can and will. However, it takes patience and time. Sonner for some, later for others, but it will happen trust me. Dont give up and the best of luck! :)

I'm going to sound kind of distraught and down. But I've come to make a realization that if you are gay and under the age of 30 its not likely you will find love, 30-40 all the guys seem to be settling down, 40+ all the guys seem to want younger guys ... so my answer ... not unless you find it between 30-40 is it really guaranteed, and even then guys seem to lose interest.

Yes! At the beginning I thought I'd never find such love since I became a lesbian...But I waited for long...Then now I found the perfect girl that I love with all my heart...
