get the best darts you can, depending on budget. shop around the internet and see diferent styles, materials and weights. try some and then sitck to your most successful.
as someone else said, it depends on your board, but most open boards are bristle. therefore go for steels. nickel barrels give you better quality but i am happy with tungsten as my regular darts.
i own many different styles of dart to give me something to change to when it starts to go wrong!

depends on type of board the electronic boards use plastic the conventional type uses steel
