Definitely the Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen, who reached the South Pole on 14 Dec 1911. Scott's ill-fated party arrived 35 days later.

Then Robert Falcon Scott... and his team.
The latter didn't survive.
Later Shackleton would go, he has gone quite far on Antarctica with Scott!
