What should I do???
I am a really caring guy and there is this girl I like, We are both sophmores and have known each other a long time and we both know we like each other. She is mostly "anti touch " she was when I met her and for alittle while after. but we have grown closer and i really like her, but I think she will not like to hold hands or hug, and I respect her so I don't. even though I am a more touchy kind of guy. and I mean with everybody I always love hugs any time from most anyone.SO WHAT SHOULD i DO TO GROW CLOSTER IN OUR RELATIONSHIP. and I want mature answers, and please do not mention sex I am saving that for marraige.

Talk to her... if you need a hug simply ask her if you can get a hug. Don't make the problem harder than it really is silly...ask about holding hands... but quite honestly relationships can be about big and small things... read books together... whatever intrests both of you, I am a bit confused of your relationship with one anotherso it is hard to really give info. She goes from your girl to a girl you like to a friend. If you guys are together I realize you respect her but compromise with her because she should also be moved to respect you as a person that is a bit more touchy... such as you won't hug or hold hands with her in public. Sounds to me like you feel a lil left out of things being a bit more personal. You might even try to explain how you anticipate being able to hold her hand or give her a hug. When I went to school those who didn't give hugs we called 'snobs' or 'stuck up' and when they asked why we call them such we told them because we didn't get our hug that day... usually they felt compelled to give a hug, sometimes they didn't notice that somewhat neglected our need for a hug. A lot of it probably has to do with her family... she is either not used to being around it and it makes her feel funny or she sees it all the time and thinks it's gross.

Well I think you should ask her out. Maybe she isn't touchy feely because she is shy or doesn't like to touch people she isn't dating. If you know you like each other, ask her out, put your arm around her in the movies, see how she reacts. Don't force anything but watch her body language. I doubt she's anti-touch, she just seems uptight. You need to charm her and let her fall for you then she might loosen up a bit and hug more, etc.

People have different love languages, I am super touchy feely and my husband is like your girl. Do things for her like perhaps getting her a gift that shows you listen and know what she likes. You can try special outings again picking places you know that she would enjoy and is creative. Those might be just as special to her as your hugs and holding hands are to you.

Take it slow.. If you really care about this girl she will test your patience and your touchy feely behavior will need to be put to rest until shes ready and comfortable. Baby steps! If you open your heart and your mind and have a deep conversation that could definetly bring you closer. Be a good listener and honor her wishes, don't complain.

Do what I do. wright her love notes. after a few notes wright her a poem. in the poem fit holding hands and hugging into it somehow. then you an do one of the to and say "did you like the poem?" If she says yes then she'll probably not mined you being a bit touchy. It's not as hard as it sounds!

Show her a kind sincere smile every time you see her. I'm sorry that she won't at least hold your hand. I too have problems showing physical affection towards a woman.

Is it only you she doesn't like to be touched by or does she not like to be touched by anyone period? If she doesn't like to be touched by anyone, then she may have experienced something when she was little. She could have been raped or something, which would explain why she doesn't like to be touched by anyone.
You don't need to touch her to get closer to her. Just act like you always do, except try to restrain yourself from touching her. It would probably bring you closer to her because she would feel more comfortable knowing she is not going to be touched. If she feels anything special about you, you will end up finding out.
This is only if she doesn't like being touched by anyone.

I actually met someone who said that to me even though the woman in question had been a guest on Maury Povich, and not for humanitarianism.

If she won't even hold your hand then she really doesn't like you as a boyfriend. You are totally wasting your time.
