Yes and No.. Its just like any relationship or friendship. The thing about online relationships is you dont know who exactly you are talking to. It is very easy to use fake profiles to lure a specific type of woman/man and there are alot of bad people on the internet. Dont think it cant happen to you! These preditors are very smart. Even if they provide you with a valid name, phone number, photo etc.. you have no idea really who you are dealing with this person could be a criminal .. If you insist on online dating, dont give out any personal information and only meet someone in a public place with friends never alone or at someones house..
Be careful best of luck!!

Online relationships really aren't relationships unless they become real. They definitely can last once you meet, but chances are that the person is much different in real life than online. I say be careful... you can get hurt easily, and there is a chance the person is a rapist, etc looking for vulnerable victims. Don't get swept up in anything online, it's fantasy. The person can be anything they want to be.

There would HAVE to be something else. I know someone who fooled this guy into having an online relationship with them for 3 years. The chick emailed him a picture of the hot high school cheerleader, when she was a hideous troll. This guy finally flew out to meet her, and when he did he found out the unfortunate lie. After I heard that story, if I meet someone on match or yahoo personals, I try to meet them in person as soon as possible.

I would't reccomend an online relationship you never know who you could be talking 2. But anyway they don't usually last 2 long mostly because of distance. Trust me you dont want 2 start or let an online relationship go on if you didn't already know the person it could be potentialy dangerous.

Regardless of where you meet a person the relationship can last if the individuals are honest and real upfront.

unless you meet him in person, it's fake. not real.
the real relationship would start when you met him personally.
the problem is, however, ppl are rareky the same in real life cuz online ppl show things which they want us to see.
just because he is one way on the net doesn't mean he is that way in real life
good luck though

Hi,
I've never had one but maybe this is a start!
Seriously, I think they have the same probability as any other meeting.
I don't think that you can really know a person until you have spent a lot of time under different conditions with them.

Only if people put up truthful profiles, and that never seemed to be the case in my experience.
