Are there any questioners actually interested in debate or do you prefer hearing your conceptions reinforced?

Maybe I should rephrase my question...why do you think people would waste their time on here asking rhetorical questions?

Good question. I think the answer to "why would people waste their time"....is because most people only want to hear their own beliefs validated by others. I see a lot of anger, hate and name calling, but not a lot of honest, open minded, thought out debate. Too many are just closed to any opinions or ideas other than their own.

Sadly it seems that many children have no parental supervision with regard to using the internet. That.. I hope is why you have so many flippant hateful answers. If it is adults being disrespectful.. how embarrassing.
I wonder if a forum exists that people with intelligent ideas can debate the serious issues facing America. Certainly there must be on the WWW.

I prefer debate - whether religion, politics, whatever. That's how I learn, and no...I don't need my ideas reinforced. I like to hear different perspectives to get the whole picture.

I would love to debate some of the amswers I get but this is stictlly a one way forum .

I hate debating with my conservative friends because I feel like I'm listening to the Fox News Network. All those stupid one liners like "stay the course" "cut and run" and all that bullshit. I'm all for debating with people, but not with Fox News Robots.
