There is not such option to extend the expiry date more than once. The Yahoo! help confirmed this as well: a question can be extended only for one time and a total 8 days.

Just like computers having a mind of their own at times, yahoo programing will have a mind of it's own as well, especially if they are working on updating it. I know just like my yahoo mail some will say that they sent it to me, but I don't get it for a few days, that doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

This is just a thought...I have seen some questions on here that the person added some additional infomation later on...and it just seems like that the voting extended a few days on them.
