When l watch for example ''youtube'' l see the vid for 2 seconds then it freezes for maybe a minute. l'm new at this computer thing so please be understanding, l'm a old bugger. Thanks in advance.

Sounds to me that your PC may not be a very fast/powerful one or not using broadband ?
I think that maybe you see the initial image of the video and then your computer takes a little time to download more of the video before continuing to run it on your PC. If that is the case there isn't much you can do except get a more powerful computer and/or get broadband.
If you don't have broadband I do recommend you get it.
My mum (in her eighties) really enjoys using her broadband Internet connection.
