I don't think praying mantis are a good pet to have, even though it is legal to capture and keep mantis their population is diminishing. If you are serious about buying a mantis call your local pet stores or even ebay may have them.

There is a business in St. Louis, Missouri,called the Bug House,they sell all sorts of insect and eggs,but I'll bet the Agricultural import laws in OZ won't let them in. PeeTee

There is a place here is Missouri that sells stuff like that....My school got some stuff from there for our science class.
