She started it - can I finish it? We have severed all ties now with them is this the best to do or is revenge sweet?

sever the ties, forget beating the xxx out of her - you could be easily be charged with assault and battery.
but your wife can report her to the police as well on this. then she might be charged with the crime.

You probably shouldn't go punching this woman or any other.
If they live in one of those houses on wheels, there is a good bet that they wont 'play fair'.
IF you hit her do you think that the brother will have aproblem shooting you.
ALso
police are always hanging out in those areas (because they know that there will be trouble soon) so if you punch her, you might get ran over by a cop on patrol as you run to your car.
The best revenge would be showing them how much class you have and pressing charges against the wife.
IT will feel sweet watching her go to jail...even if she does not go to jail, the attorney's fees will be enough to allow them to remember you for at least the rest of the year.

The best revenge is living well. Since you've already severed all ties, get on with your life and leave Mrs. Trailor Trash alone.

I don't know how long ago this happened, but you could always file charges against her for assault.
It would also be great if you could get others to testify as witnesses, those who saw this happen.
Trying to 'get even' in your own terms would be the craziest thing you could do, because they may turn round and file charges against you.
File a report now!
Have her arrested for what she did, and maybe this will make her think twice before hitting people in the future.
Assault can mean some jail time, but it 'always' means a hefty
fine (which HAS to be paid) or community service for many months, and everyone that knows her will see her paying the price for her 'ignorance'.

You could if you wanted to, it's your choice!
"But" why would you? eventhough you say all ties are severed, they're truely not. How do I know? well my brother hit my wife way before we were married, I wanted to kill him!!!! yes my brother! what would I have gained if I did? you've ever heard of (the ties that bind?) anger sets up and everyone goes abit crazy but all in all family is family, this incident will pass and you, your wife and her brother will remain close but as to your wifes brothers wife, that is questionable. a scar has been placed on her ego and it will take a long time before the scar mends.
The only way to fix this, which I don't condone, is to have your wife and his wife battle this one out, NOT YOU! and not to the death mind you, but untill your wife can save face, and then hopefully she will have some kind of closure. live on and love on.

Trailor trash isn't worth your time. Yes, we want to take out the trash, but since it smells so bad leave it alone. Gotta love them trailor trash peeps!

No I would not do that. Remember the old saying, " Two wrongs do make a right" You have used good judement by not going around her. I know that you are mad and feel bad for your wife. But you do not want to do something that could land you in jail. You are so much better than that.

since you are a man and she is a woman i wouldn't sugest that you hit her at all. not because she doesn't deserve it, but you don't deserve a night in jail because of her. i would put assult charges on her...that kind of revenge never goes away. and if you really want to see her get hers...let you wife beat the crud out of her.

No a male should never hit a female-PERIOD! Grow up and be the bigger person! If all ties have been severed, congratulations, celebrate that, don'tmake it worse! If you try to finish it, odds are you'll go to jail!
