i was at the fireworks and dont know what the coat hanger symbol is supposed to mean, in fact nobody around me did and i've lived here all my life......weird? well does anybody know, i'd appreciate it, thanks

It's because the design is an Arch Bridge, and from a distance looks like the curved top of a coat hanger.

The Sydney Harbour bridge is often nicknamed "the coathanger" because of its shape, I dont understand why they would call it that though....
I suppose they just wanted something to make it look good.
