Absolutely. If I knew you were rich I would expect a reward though! I have returned many lost items in my time where I could. Cellphones, credit cards wallets, pets. I know what it is like to lose something and freak out. I lost my wallet in a New Orleans taxi one time. It was hours later when it was returned (miraculously!) and all the money was still in it. I was so grateful. Good people do exist. They are the ones with empathy. Check out this site for the stats on an experiment done on the very same thing. http://www.wallettest.com/Lost_Wallet_Test/Results_Page.html
It all depends on the person who picks it up....

If I lost my wallet I would like it and the contents back, so why wouldn't I return yours with it's contents. How would I know you were rich as far as I could tell the money inside may be all you had keeping any of it would feel horrible.

Yes. I have actually been in that scenario. And the guy smiled and gave me a $20. This was when I was about 12. True story. ; )

I would give it back if I knew who it belonged to & could get it back to you.I would feel to guilty if I kept it, but I would be hoping for a generous reward! My husband said he would keep it & wouldn't feel guilty at all!
