I have heard people say this many times but I dont get it. Why would people want to keep their enemies closer then their freinds?

this means you can never really trust anyone but yourself. you hvae to keep your enemies close by so you can see what they are up to. make sure they are not plotting against you or trying to hurt you. you have to keep your friends closer because they are more at risk for hurting you. they have your trust and know that so they can backstab you in a second. you have to make sure your friends really have YOUR best interest at hand and not their own.

Get acquainted and have some good relationship with your friends but your eyes glued to the plans and moves of your enemies for your safety.
It is just like "the friends of my enemies are my enemies and the enemies of my enemies are my friends" which will make your enemies closer..

Keep a very close eye on your enemies, closer than you even keep on your friends. You can trust your friends, but you have to watch your enemies so closely because you can't trust them.

As your enemies would be the ones who would hurt you, you want to keep them close to know what they are doing.

It's an old saying that Jesus, in the Christian religion had said. It means even though you hold your friends close, you should forgive your enemies and make them your friends as well. Because your enemies have a different point of view than you, and in their eyes you may of been the cause of the hatred. And Jesus had said that you can only get to Heaven with a pure heart. How is your heart pure if you hate your enemies. The only way to make friends it to forgive enemies.

You want to know your enemies pretty well so you can decide how to deal with them. If you simply ignore them, they can easily catch you off guard and take advantage of your vulnerabilities.

you can trust you friends and you dont have to worry about them hurting you. but you cant trust you enemies so you have to watch them closer then friends.

It means that you cant trust anyone. Not even your friends. Someone who doesnt like you is more willing to hurt you than anything else. Even though they are not your friend still try to know what is inside of their head to protect you.

my mom told me this bout 2 years ago when i was 15. its an american saying. ur name is bianca so i am guessing you are hispanic, but no prob, i'll explain, dont mind sharing heritige.
it means that u should keep your enemies closer, put on an act for them, pretend to be their freinds even if u arnt, know what they are doing, know who they know, by doing this you virtually eliminate the chance of them being able to back stab you or randomly pop out of no where and hurt u. dont tell them any personal information, just know a lot about them, pretend to be their freind, call them ocassionally, with them happy holidays, etc
