Who knows if he can or not? After all, if you had been told 6 years ago that bush would have been constantly subverting the constitution to spy on America, what would you have said?

And now nobody even seems to care. If anything they support him, by and large.

So you tell me. Can Bush seize even more power? I hope not, but I cna't know. 2 years is a long time.

If he wants the USA to become like Iraq... Really the president doesn't that power - the constitution would have to be thrown away, the military would have to support him, thousands, if not millions of folks would have to be arrested.

With a 30% approval rating, to boot...

No, he can't. It is not within a President's power. Even if he tried to do so -- and that is a very big if -- he'd meet with too much opposition.
