I have to say, that I don't think anyone ever feels they are ready financially for a baby... you could always use more money. It's making it work with the situation you are in. Yes, you have every right to be worried, you are a mommy now... so you will worry about this baby the rest of your life! I became pregnant at 23, and yes, i too was worried financially. What a few friends told me was - call to find out if there is a clinic you can go to at the hospital- or near the hospital.... there they will have a financial aid office you can go to after your first appointment (or before, depending on the place), and you can get on the Healthy Start Program- not being married you will go by your income, so you could get lot's of help possibly. Also- another good thing to do is get on WIC. Please do these! They are there to help you financially so you can get on your feet. Your doctor bills, prescriptions will be paid for, food like cereal, milk, peanut butter, eggs, things like that will also be paid for by WIC, and they make sure you are healthy- healthy iron level, healthy weight, etc. Then when your baby is born, it helps pay the baby's doctor bills, prescriptions, (wic pays for formula if needed, baby cereal, then reg. milk at a year, cheese, cereal, etc.) It doesn't pay for diapers, wipes, or clothes things like that, but those that it does help out, really can help you out tons.
I used to be on it, but my husband and I married a while after our son was born (out of love, not because of our baby).... but it helped us get back on our feet for the time being.
Goodluck, I wish you and your family the best. Have faith, and you will be just fine. Just do everything now for your baby as well as yourself. Want to do good, and think positively, and you will be okay! :)

Dont freak yourself out, I'm sure everything will work out. I turned 19 three months before I had my first daughter. I wasnt financially ready either. But when that beautiful baby is born your whole life is about caring and looking after it. You do what you have to, to make sure your baby has what it needs. With the help and support of family you'll be right.
Just dont freak out so much. I think that 19 is the best age to have kids. Your young, your body heals faster and you'll have a great bond with your kid cause you'll be able to understand them cause it wasnt that long ago that you were a kid.
Calm down, relax, you'll stop freaking out soon and everything will be cool. Listen to your partner. You are very lucky to have one thats so supporting. I went through this phase and it didnt last that long. I just sat down and made a plan. Love you will be fine, enjoy being pregnant, enjoy the joy of it all.
I wish you a happy and healthy pegnancy, and an easy birth. Again relax you will be fine.

I had my first baby girl when I was 21 and my husband and I are now expecting our second baby girl in a few weeks. I was only 20 when we got married and we are happier than ever. We worried about money in the beginning too...It is only natural. Trust me, you aren't the only one who worries about that. I know people who are very well off and still "Worry" about money and their kids. You guys will be fine. Give your baby all the love and support it needs and do whatever you have to do to make ends meet. At least your b/f is there to help support you and the baby! It will all be okay! And a little angel is worth every minute of worrying you will do in the next nine months! Congrats to you!

Yes, I was in the same situation, but a little younger than you. I also was worried about money and how we could afford it, but when during the pregnancy my life just sorta took control, and everything was fine, we did fine when the baby was born and everything has just kept getting better since then. Just have faith and don't stress, you will make it. Oh and Congrats!

Don't worry. Things always have a way of working out. Good things happen to good people. You are lucky to have your boyfriend be excited about it. Alot of guys wouldn't feel that way. Money is definately not everything. Love goes a long ways.

Life will throw curves at you, but never something you can't handle. You will be fine. No one is ever really financially ready to have a baby. Calm down and do your best.

You will be scared. Woman make it through pregnancy and raising a child whith less than you have. It is difficult to have a child whether you have the financial means or not. He is right to tell you that you will make it through. Don't be afraid to reach out for help if you need it. If you decide to use government assistance, please don't abuse it. It is meant for people in your situation until they stabilize their lives out.
