Take your 8 year old shopping. Let them choose the clothes. I remember picking out clothes for my 8 year old and she never really liked any of the clothes i picked out..lol. 8 year old girls tend to have their own since of style. If they pick out something they like dont tell them you dont like it(even if you dont) because it will hurt their feelings. Just let them pick out the clothes themselves. Thats what I always do now. It works great.

Take the 8 year old to a store and let em try some cloths in the dressing room.

I have trouble finding clothes for my 8 year old daughter. Generally the clothes are way too revealing for my liking - crop tops, hipster jeans etc. Please!!!
It's made harder by the fact that she's the height of a 12 year old - clothes in her size are just not appropriate for a little girl.
So... I think I understand your question. Unfortunately I don't have any answers though. I just keep a look out for the occasional items that fit and aren't rude!!!

uhh perhaps Justice, ive never been in there however the clothing on the manakins or despite appear as if they could be for 7 8 or 9 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds and that they outfits look advantageous to me yet im 13 soo i cant bypass in there i dont think of lol

I think that any good dept. store would have good clothes for an 8 yr. old. But as with any child I would let them try them on first and then maybe get them a little big, the price of clothes its best to.

Limited Too.. their kinda expensive but have appropriate clothes. And they are in style. Abercrombie is on the expensive list too, but they have cute clothes. Department stores like Palais Royal and Macys always have cute clothes for kids. Hope I helped and GOoD LucK!

You should try Old Navy, Gap, Macy's, Sears or Kolhs. They all have cloths at reasonable prices for an 8 year old.

my little sister and brother are btoh 8 and my mom takes them to Gap and Gymboree. You can also try Macy*s and Jcpenny and Sears. These stores are really great to shop at. Most of their clothes are from these stores.

Before this Christmas season, I would have said Old Navy, but H & M's stuff is pretty awesome.
the sizes are funny, so you may have to dress them in an abnormal size, but who cares.
I found some awesome stuff for my niece there for X-mas - although one dress didn't fit.
