I feel your pain. I turned 22 recently and I don't celebrate my birthdays anymore. I hate growing older. I wish I could be 18 forever. (18 since I don't even like to drink). Many teenagers can't wait to become older and a lot like to do underage drinking and such. But their attitude will begin to reverse over time. My cousin and I saw a lot of old people at our job and we both said we never want to be that old and in pain. Life feels short, and it the unexpected can potentially make it even shorter. Becoming an adult is a great accomplishment compared to people are over 24 but incapable of maturing and taking on responsibilities...and there's ton's of them. I am somewhat glad I became older. I was a brat in highschool which is pretty embarrassing. Some of my ex-friends from highschool are still the same and they're much worse. I would just try to balance excitement and responsibility unless you find a job that includes both. Too much of either is probably not good. Good luck and brace yourself for the middle life crisis when it comes.

I feel your pain. I turn 24 in Feb. There's a few reasons why you could be feeling depressed. Try doing something different and changing your everyday routine. Be more spontaneous. Don't dread on the past as you will think of things you have done and possibly wander why you did them and think how you would have done it differently. That's no good for depression trust me. Just look toward the future and how you can spruce it up.

Oh honey.... I just turned 43... the best is yet to come for you!! I wouldn't go back and redo my 20's for all the money in the world. The 40's is where it is at! This are the best years. You have total confidence and enormous self esteem to look forward to. You no longer spend all your time worrying what others think...you just live!! Cheer up.... it only gets better!!
Happy Early Birthday.... and Happy New Year!!

Okay well your insurance rates drop at 25 --- huh then well after that all you have left to look forward to is Social security and the senior citizen discount.
You should throw a party, get crazy drunk and go streak.... no???
We all get older, it's life but you decide to be old or not. You can be one to stay at home and fall asleep at 5pm watching the weather channel or you can be wild, go to clubs, act crazy and basically have fun. When that gets old then move on to something else that is fun and exciting

Girl, you are not old!! I'm 23 and I still feel young!!! Why don't you treat yourself to a spa package and get a massage, a facial, pedicure.... whatever you like. I did that on my 23rd birthday and I felt really relaxed. Enjoy life and don't worry about age. It's just a number. That's it.

I'm 54 yrs old. have had 7 operations to keep me alive, no job, can't work, and social security is too slow to pay. no health insurance either. I was told they have done all they can do and that i should learn to live with my condition and wait to die.. Now tell me your getting old! Hell, with all my operations and the medication I can't even get it up any more.. and you think your old at 24? I'm too young to Die; but, good-bye..

Enjoy it, cause next year you will be a quarter of a century old! LOL! I'm 25 and feeling like my youth is slipping away, but that's life.....you're only as old as you feel, they say. :)
