OMG, This is stupid people night on Y/A. Saddam was the persecutor!! He murdered TENS OF THOUSANDS people. The Iraqi people could do nothing about it...Saddam was a DICTATOR. You can't just un-elect the man. People that would stand up to him were KILLED by him. How could you people say that this was okay? He at one time even had WMD's. That is true as anything. They weren't there when we went looking, but that doesn't mean that he never had them. We know he had them.

First, this man Gassed his own people. He was not persecuted, he was the persecutor.

Second, our esteemed President is at best stupid and at worst a meglomainic.

Third, clearly the Iraquis couldn't deal with him.

Personally, Id like to ask the rest of the world to look a little deeper into American Politics before they tar the whole country with Bush's War. You will find that the majority of the US does not support this action.

Indeed, many of us have been present here and on blogs all over the net voicing our opposition.

because the U.S. did not find any WMDs or connections with terrorism. also because the U.S. invaded Iraq, so they had to do something with him. the iraqis did deal with him, the court was in iraq, but the u.s. help set up the government beacuse the U.S. destroyed the last one. if you ask me, the U.S. should have gone into Darfur to stop the genocid that had already taken 400,000+ lives; that would have been a whole lot less costly.

Saddam was asking for oil contracts to be paid in Euros rather than dollars. Would have drastically reduced US influence.

Don't believe this crap about Saddam being a murderer/ The US has supported every murdering dictator as long as we could do business with them.

...because the spoil little Bush thinks he tried to kill his daddy. It's all about the proud and the spoil Bush. Unfortunately the biggest victims of Bush, are still his own people. They are the ones dying and paying the high price of his stupid decisions. Who believes he cares about Shiites and Sunnis? He might not even know what that is or its differences, plus the so called weapons of mass destruction, excused used by this genius Bush the invade Iraq, has never been found.

Because bush needs oil... so the United States has to control Iraq. But they said that it is because he killed lots of people in 1982 and due to his tyranny the people can't control him. And they also suspect that Iraq is keeping Weapons of Mass Destruction without proper affiliation to that one group that protects us from nuclear harm whatever.. I'm telling you, if NK had oil, the US troop's butts would be there in a hooeey.
