Lots...you probably will get up, shower, have breakfast, dress, go to work....and so on. If it is raining, you probably will use an umbrella, etc.

When your driving and you have tow routes you can take, one with red lights that shorter, and one without red lights and is longer. You try and figure out the probability that you will hit the lightes all green and make it sooner, or go the long way and not chance it. Also the chance that you'll be in a meeting and your phone will ring, so do you turn the ringer off or chance it.

Too many examples out there for you to read finish all or learn to apply. One example where I applied probability was to get a chance to graduate.

For example, there is only 0.3% chance for any individuals to fail a module. How many modules can you take without failing to graduate in a single semester (with 95% level of confidence that you will passed)?

Well 0.997^n =0.95
=> n = 17

Well I took 8 and passed my exams.

So probability is very useful.

well, for one thing, insurance companies and actuarial scientists analyze statistics they've gathered through the years and look at the probabilities that certain events would happen. (such as a person getting sick, or dying in a car crash, and the like)

other people who make use of probability are card players and gamblers. they try to compute odds so that they'd know how to bet, when to fold, etc.
