Its totally personal decision.
It also depends on your will power.

I am 46+ now and till date I never made any New year resolution and never faced any problem.

No!because every year is new and you have to follow the resolution that you made for the new year from Jan01 to Dec31 assuming that every day, every minute, every second is new.If you did not follow this, a resolution is meaningless. After following the resolution of this year, correct the mistakes of this year and make a resolution for the next year to make sure you correct those mistakes. This way,it is fine to make a resolution.
Happy new year to you and all the best !

I think it depends on the person.

I see New Year's as a day to start a new goal. You can make a goal on any day of the year, but you might be more likely to stick to it if it's something special, like a "New Year's Resolution."

However, a lot of people don't follow their resolutions, which makes them just a waste of time and thought. Anyhow, it's a chance to prove to yourself that you can change for the better!

And, they're kinda fun too. :)

Happy New Year's!

Not unless they're well thought out and you actually have a plan to keep them. Otherwise it's just a silly, meaningless ritual.
