I thought Grace Slick from Jefferson Airplane did that with Meatloaf.

Yeah, Ellen Foley was the female lead against Meat Loaf's male lead. Afterwards, she made a couple albums. Then found success as the Lead Female in the sitcom 'Night Court' in the 80s. She left Night Court after 2 years to work on her solo career again, but was never heard from again...

I wasn't aware of Janis doing it. I don't think she did, because Jim Steinman wrote all the songs for "Bat Out of Hell." I don't think he had any association with Janis. (Steinman also wrote "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler, that's him singing "turn around..." at the beginning - useless trivia, I know.)

The woman who sang on "Paradise" was Ellen someone - she never did anything of note after that, at least that I'm aware of.

I could google all this, but I'm too lazy...

Joplin never sang "paradise by the dashboard lights" cuz it wasnt written til after she died.
