A free alternative is Spybot Search and Destroy, shown at the first link shown below. Another excellent way to accomplish a check for spyware/adware/keyloggers, etc is at the Trend-Micro site shown second below. Good luck.

Format and install Linux. You will not have to worry about virus or spyware anymore. Get it free from http://www.mandriva.com/en/download
