Hell yeah, he deserved it. He committed genocide, so he should be executed. The only thing I didn't like about his execution was that it was a merciful execution. Mice are sacrificed this way, and if the IACUC says it's okay to sacrifice mice this way, then you know it's a merciful execution. Wish he would have suffered more during his execution.

Yes.
I'm not a great Bush fan, but the fact is, Saddam Hussein killed thousands over the course of his reign in Iraq. That is an actual documented fact. He had no problem murdering, and the way he presented himself since he was caught and tried, he probably would have had no problem doing it again.

You realize of course he is dead?
There's really nothing we can do about it. GW isn't in favor of new strains of stem cell research and he's definitely against cloning. I don't think there's a lot we can do.
You might try a Ouija board, but other than that it appears to be too late to me.
My inclination is to celebrate. The one crime I believe deserves capital punishment is killing of innocent civilians which he clearly did.

I think he definitely deserved it, but I feel it is unfair to his great-grandchildren (his sons were obviously rotten also so I'm skipping a generation or two) to see him executed on videotape. I think that is irresponsible, sure he deserved hanging but taping it and putting it on TV is awful, I'm sure buried amongst all the despots there has to be at least one that wasn't a psychotic murderer and like he and his sons were

NO HE DOES NOT DESERVE IT; NO ONE DOES.
Bush and Blair talked about Saddam being cruel and inhumane, but they are hypocrites. The U.S. and Japan are the only two industrialized countries that support the death penalty because every other industrialized nation view it as cruel and inhuman (which it is); the UK does not even have it, ask Blair. I believe that Saddam was not tried in a fair court and that Bush, Blair, and the new Iraq government should set an example of being humane and not acting as Saddam would have if he were still in power. The death penalty is wrong, no one should have the right to take another’s life no matter how severe the crime.

he definately deserved the execution. someday maybe you will run across some videos on the internet that shows you how he executed some of his innocent people; it's too bad he was humanly executed and not treated the way he treated others.

He was sentenced and executed by his own people. If USA carried out their judgments as they did to Saddam Hussein, we would not have overcrowded prisons and our taxes would go to other more important issues.

You should follow current events more closely. Saddam killed more than 2 million people...women and children included. He gassed his own people. He killed his own son in law. Shall I go on? In plain language the man was a maniac and in the same league as Adolf Hitler. They are now together down below telling each other how many people they each killed.

Yeah, he totally deserved it. He seized control of Iraq and ruined the lives of countless people. He definitely deserved to die.

He murdered thousands of his own countrymen, and he deserves to be punished. Murdering him back, though, is immoral and unjustifiable. No man can condemn another to death, even with the backing of government. Peace be upon all your souls, and happy new year :)
