I just turned 18 yesterday, and now I'm wondering what kind of privileges I have now that I am a responsible (yeah right) adult. I know that I can order things from the TV by phone... What else can I do?

In some states you can have less strict punishments for marijuana use, you can have sex with people must older than you, you can drink and gamble on cruise ships, you can smoke cigarettes, you can be independent from your parents without a court order, you can buy porn, you can go to certain concerts, you can buy smoking accessories, and you can go to a few selected clubs, you are not affected by curfew laws, you can get a credit card or loans without co-signers, you can vote, you can sign contracts.

You can pretty much do ANYTHING that you want, ANYTHING!
The down side is that YOU are NOW TOTALLY accountable for your choices.
Your parents can just wash their hands and be done with you.
Bills, credit cards, drinking under age, DUIand whatever else that you can come up with, your parents are OFF THE HOOK for you and you are on your own if they choose.
If YOU REALLY want to be free file a "Writ of Emancipation" with the local Court. If it is granted, your parents can NOT tell you what to do and YOU ARE AN ADULT in every aspect.

nothing really important unless you smoke, or like porn. everything else fun, is still illegal.
