Some societies or Nationalities do put chidlren and even parents before their spouse! God says it is wrong but that is the way things are. If this becomes a common thing for him, you need to have a talk! Ladies too, your spouse is to be first in your life, except for God. Jesus said that many have traditions or ways that defeat goodness that God could bring to marriage and family.

yes, u r doing it to yourself. RELAX! Let him BE! He is doing what he is suppose to be doing! Taking care of his other family that he had before you came along. I'm sorry honey, but your husband sounds like he is doing what he should be doing. You sound a little jealous, and jealousy comes from feeling insecure within ourselves; not from the people around us. We own our feelings! He doesn't have so much control over you that you can't feel your own feelings, but if you are putting the ball in his court for your feelings, then you are making him responsible for your feelings! Then he owns them instead of you! When he is finished taking care of business outside of you, then he'll come back to you! BE PATIENT and in the process try to grow up!
The world doesn't always revolve around us, sometimes it includes other people in their lives!
Besides what is 30 minutes out of your life with him, you are the one he lives with, and his kid is else where! 30 minutes isn't very long, but it can be a very long time for a kid and a father that is separated for what ever reason!

In looking at your other questions, and then this one, it is clear that there are issues in your marriage. You seem to resent his mother. That is a battle you will never win. A man will never take his wife's side over his mother's. Rather than make it a battle between you and her for your husband, why don't you go give him a big hug as he types on his keyboard, wish him a happy new year, tell him to wish his mother a happy new year for you, and then tell him you are going to bed, and he is welcome to join you, to celebrate the new year.

If he has no time for you, stop sitting around waiting like some sort of a wallflower. Go out with your friends, get into your own activities. When he looks around for you, you should be gone, not sitting there waiting.

Feeling neglected on New Years?
Hit him over the head with a frying pan.
Get his attention. Don't tiptoe around this man. He needs you to spell it out.
