My husband was caught having an affair with a woman in his division. I didn't find out until I moved to Virginia with him. I was 7 months pregnant at the time. He had planned to leave for this woman. But she found out through me that he still had a wife and a baby on the way and quickly ended their plan to be together. I wasn't the one that wanted this divorce. I want to work things out, but he filed for divorce in his home state SD. He said that I drove his girlfriend away because I reported him to his CO.

If he wants to leave you that bad let him go. If you have to ask him to stay and see you through having the baby, do you really want him to? It will probably feel hollow if he does, but I don't blame you for not wanting to go through it alone.

I feel for you my dear. It is so hard to be carrying a man's baby and to not feel his love and support completely. This is a very emotional time for you and this child that you will bring into this world will be a true miracle. You need to keep your focus on staying well right now and looking after your health for your sake and your child's as well. Find someone that you can sit down and share your thoughts and fears with such as a counselor. If you husband is in the Navy then they offer such services at no cost to the family of the service men. You have done nothing wrong at all, and please never blame yourself for the actions of this man. Some men never grow up and continually seek anything that makes them happy for the moment, much like a child does with little or no thoughts to the feelings of others. You and your child need a person who is not selfish and who loves you and accepts you and fills your life with hope and happiness, not despair and anxiety. Please find a professional counselor to help you work through these issues and to make a decision that will be helpful to you and that you satisfied and at peace with. Bless you and I really hope that everything turns around for you in this new year.

It sounds to me like he needs someone to blame for his own wrong doings. Do you really want to continue this marriage with the knowledge that he doesn't care the way he should? The girlfriend sounds like she saw what you didn't. If he will cheat on a wife with child he would do the same to her. Wake up. He wants a divorce. Maybe they will or will not get back together. That is not your business anymore. Take care of that beautiful child. Some men are just no good.

Good Luck and Happy New Year
