Video Editing. This is the primary market for MAC's.

Also keep in mind that MAC's are very proprioritized by Apple.

If you've never used a MAC, be prepared for a learning curve.

Both PC's and MAC's have problems.

Try going to an Apple Store and ask the staff questions.

no good reason i can think off.
the systems are more expensive than a PC.
Mac software is generaly more expensive and harder to get than that for the PC.
and security althogh is said to be bettere on the MAC it is only because not many malware coders target the MAC operating system. however running windows on a MAC would leave you as vulnerable to malware as on a PC. you would need a damn good malware defense program that could handle both operating systems if that is your reason to switch over.

just remeber the more people that switch to MAC the more malware coders will start to target MACs.

oh and if you want to upgrade a MAC it is going to be a difficult affair should you need new system board or CPU for example. whereas a PC you can buy accessories and new componts at any good etailer.

the choice is yours.
but i'd stick with my AMD based computer it is perfect for my needs.

just my opinion.

Mac was great for high end printing and post print jobs for printing industry and advertising. But now the gap has narrowed down so much that you need not invest in one. High time they brought down the price and made it affordable.
Moreover you will be stuck with software tailored to it, which means you don't have the freedom as in the ordinary PC.
Why buy a white elephant? Happy 2007!

Mac's are wayy to expensive and the performance they give for their price is always S*&#. I'd have to agree that they look kinda prettier than other PC's, but a mac is an opposite of the slogan "Bang for your buck".

There is no good reason.

Except maybe if you think they look cooler. But I don't see that as a good reason.
