If you physically cant delete a file because its used by a process. Then you should enter safe mode (press F8 right after the bios screen). You should be able to delete it there. If you simply cant get rid of the virus and have sought help from professionals who still coudlnt help you(unlikely), you can reinstall your operating system clean, you will lose your programs and data if you dont back it up before hand.

If you really are sure it is a virus, then it can only be deleted in Safe Mode, ....Which I think should be called Danger Mode. Here's How: 1. If the system is already turned off, power it on. 2. If the system is already on, shutdown the system normally, wait 30 seconds, then power it back on. 3. Begin tapping the F8 key every few seconds as the system boots up until the screen offering the Safe Mode option appears. 4. Use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode and press the Enter key. 5. The system will now boot into Safe Mode. 6. On Windows XP, you may receive a prompt asking if you really want to boot into Safe Mode. Choose Yes.

Try using AVG Free Anti-Virus (www.grisoft.com). You may have to shut down any other virus scan programs already installed on your hard drive for this to work.
If AVG doesn't work out, then my only other suggestion--and THIS WILL WORK, is to visit www.suggestafix.com . Get a free account there so you can search for topics dealing with the EVIL VIRUS plauging your system. Someone there will help you....and it's FREE, unlike some others who dress up in black slacks and white black tied shirts...a-hemmmm.

If you know what.exe it is, go to task manager, click the Processes tab and click the virus application name, and click End Process. Then delete it.
If it doesn't work, run your comp in safe mode by pressing F8 at boot time before the Windows splash screen and delete it from there. Or prevent it from starting using msconfig (Start->Run, type msconfig, enter)
Last resort: Partition an empty partition for another operating system and install the new OS on the new partition (preferably Windows XP) and delete it from there.
If it does not work, you have to reformat your hard drive.

Go to http://www.pandasoftware.com/ and do their online Panda ActiveScan. It catches and cleans all the viruses I couldn't get rid of with my previous Norton!

try to reformat the computer. it will delete everything in your computer. also the virus that is inside of it. if that doesnt work, throw your computer
