I want a celtic cross tatoo with a black rose in the center and 17 small rose buds in the cirle part for my brother in law who passed away last July. Ive been to a couple of tatoo parlers but they charge like $20 to draw a design for you. This tatoo will mean a great deal to me so I was wondering if anyone knew where I can get one drawn for free. I live close to Houston Texas...On the north west side..not in city limits. Every little bit helps...Thanks

Ive looked on the internet but can't find the type of cross I want or rose buds. The center rose will probably be the hardest to find. No leaves.

If it's a complete custom job, don't be so afriad of $20. Most people spend that on movies for two or dinner out for two.

If you can't find something similar to what you want, have some respect for those who have the skills you would need for the idea you have. I've designed a single rose for $5, and a nude angel for $30. The more work it takes, the more it will cost.

Just find the cross you want and the rose buds on the Internet and download to your photo center and then minimize their size hit print and get some tracing paper and first trace the cross then use a compass to make a circle in the center of the cross to follow as a pattern, then trace 17 of the rosebuds along the circle, erase the traces of penciled circle that show and you have your cross and the rosebuds in the center. Now put the tracing on top of a plain white paper and tape it on, then put it in your printer and hit print, take this picture to any Ta Too parlor and they can trace it onto you and do it.

Remember that a tattoo is there for life! You need to make sure the design is just the way you want it and that the artist is taking you seriously. Sometimes it pays to go ahead and give up the 20 bucks. The artist will sit down with you and design something completely unique to you.

would you want to not be paid for work you do? I don't mean to be rude, but artists have to eat too. I'm just asking you to consider that.

I think $20 is very reasonable. I don't charge any less than $35 an hour for my work. Celtic work is very detailed and time consuming. I also think that art you are wearing on your body for life is worth an investment.

$20 is a fair price, remember they do work by the hour.Auto mechanics charge $80............ But try searching Celtic tattoos, you may find something similar

$20 bucks just to draw it? That's a real ripoff. Look around more, there must be a reasonable shop around.

Also try going to bmezine.com. I believe they may have resources to help you out... there's plenty of tattoos there that can give you information, and if you look at their links they have shops listed..
